Payment and Refund Policy
Last updated: 30 September 2026
Scope of the Policy and the Products or Services It Covers
This Payment and Refund Policy applies to all purchases of digital courses, video resources, downloadable materials, and subscription access offered through famescope. The services focus on entertainment coverage resources that address visual scope topics including interview areas, camera framing, stage lighting, and responsible workflows for culture media. The policy governs transactions made by customers located in the United Kingdom and explains how payments are processed, when contracts are formed, and under what conditions refunds may be granted. It does not cover physical goods or services provided by third parties.
Prices, Currencies, Taxes, and Any Additional Charges
All prices on the website are displayed in British Pounds Sterling. Value Added Tax at the prevailing UK rate is included where applicable. No hidden charges apply to standard purchases; however, currency conversion fees may be levied by your card issuer if you pay in a different currency. Subscription renewals occur at the rate shown at the time of initial purchase unless famescope provides advance notice of a price change. Promotional discounts are applied automatically at checkout and cannot be combined with other offers.
Accepted Payment Methods, Payment Authorisation, and Payment Security
We accept major credit and debit cards, PayPal, and bank transfers for course and subscription purchases. Payment is authorised at the point of order. All transactions are processed through secure payment gateways that comply with PCI DSS standards. famescope does not store full card details. Authorisation may be declined if the payment method is invalid or flagged for fraud; in such cases the order will not proceed until a valid payment is received.
Order, Booking, or Service Confirmation and When a Contract Is Formed
Upon successful payment you will receive an email confirmation containing order details and access instructions. A binding contract is formed when we send this confirmation. Access to digital content is granted immediately after confirmation, subject to the cancellation rules below. You are responsible for ensuring the email address provided is correct so that confirmations reach you.
Cancellation Rights and Applicable Cancellation Periods
Under the Consumer Contracts Regulations you have 14 days from the date of purchase to cancel if you have not started accessing the digital content. Once you begin streaming or downloading material the cancellation right ends. Subscriptions may be cancelled at any time before the next renewal date to avoid further charges. To cancel, contact us via the method described in the final section.
Refund Eligibility, Exclusions, and Non-Refundable Items or Services
Refunds are available only within the 14-day cooling-off period when no content has been accessed. After access begins, or after 14 days, refunds are not provided except where required by law. Non-refundable items include completed courses, downloaded resources, and any promotional or gift subscriptions. Technical issues caused by your equipment or internet connection do not qualify for refunds.
The Step-by-Step Procedure and Information Required to Request a Refund
To request a refund email [email protected] with your order number, full name, and a clear statement that you wish to cancel. Include the date of purchase and confirmation that you have not accessed the content. Requests must be received within the applicable time limit. We will acknowledge receipt within two working days.
Inspection, Approval, Rejection, and Notification of the Refund Decision
Upon receiving your request we will verify eligibility by checking access logs. If approved we will notify you by email within five working days. If rejected we will explain the reason and provide details of any remaining rights. You may appeal a rejection by replying with additional information within seven days.
Refund Method, Processing Time, and When Funds Should Reach the Customer
Approved refunds are returned to the original payment method. Credit or debit card refunds typically appear within five to ten working days. PayPal refunds are processed within three working days. Bank transfers may take up to seven working days. We will send a confirmation email once the refund has been issued.
Special Rules for Digital Content, Subscriptions, Services, or Promotional Offers Where Relevant
Digital content is supplied immediately, so the 14-day cancellation right is lost once access occurs. Subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled before the renewal date. Promotional offers are subject to the same refund rules unless the offer states otherwise. No refunds are given for partially used subscription periods.
Failed Payments, Duplicate Charges, Chargebacks, and Suspected Fraud
If a payment fails you will be notified and given the opportunity to retry. Duplicate charges are investigated within two working days and corrected by refund where appropriate. Chargebacks are treated as cancellation requests and may result in loss of access. Suspected fraudulent activity leads to immediate account suspension pending verification. We cooperate with payment providers and law enforcement where required.
Mandatory Consumer Rights in the Target Country That the Policy Cannot Exclude
Nothing in this policy affects your statutory rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015, the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013, or UK GDPR. You remain entitled to goods and services of satisfactory quality and to remedies for faulty digital content. If any term conflicts with mandatory law the law prevails.
